I’m going to ask you a question, and I want you to be completely honest:
When you’re on Facebook, how often do you get sucked into watching cute kitty videos, clicking on links to check out blog articles, or taking quizzes your friends have posted? And then sharing it afterwards?
If the answer is: “More often than I want to admit!” then you’re in good company – we all do it! And so does your audience.
Posting entertaining content is an easy way to engage your fans and reach new people. It’s also the perfect way to get up close with your audience and allow them to get to know you a little more – so why aren’t you doing it yet?
If you’re in need of some inspiration, here are some great examples I’ve spotted recently of brands entertaining and engaging their audiences. These brands all know what will appeal to their audiences and they’re not afraid to mix their fun content up with more serious stuff.
Leonie Dawson: she loves unicorns and doesn’t care who knows it! The great thing is that as well as showing off her mad-cap personality, her audience loves unicorns too and got in on the fun by commenting and telling her how much they’d love a unicorn emoji too.
Denise Duffield-Thomas: yep, she’s going on holiday. Yep, she’s got crazy jumpsuit taste. Yep, she’s totally going to ask you all for advice because girl chat and bonding on your Facebook biz page? Awesome.
Innocent: they love to celebrate the inner child in each of us, and aren’t afraid to post amusing content that’s completely unrelated to their products (but perfectly in alignment with the fun-loving nature of their brand).
Plus: You can also post fun memes, quizzes or other relevant things you see if it’s relevant and will entertain your audience. Sad that the good weather has ended? Make fun of it!
